The Purchasing Staff will procure materials and supplies necessary for production. They will also manage inventory, negotiate contracts for goods and services, and develop vendor relations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with department heads and senior management to develop and manage the bank's annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
- Monitor budgetary performance, analyzing actual expenses against budgeted targets, and providing insights on variances to aid decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct financial analysis to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flows, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial projections.
- Assist in the development of budgeting and forecasting models, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the budgeting process.
- Prepare and present budget reports to senior management, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations for optimizing resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and inputs for budgeting and forecasting purposes, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis on proposed projects or initiatives, evaluating their financial feasibility and impact on the bank's overall budget.
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of financial controls and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
- Support the finance team in ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as required.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the bank's financial planning and budgeting processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Government Financial Manager - CGFM, Certified Financial Analyst - CFA) are advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills to analyze complex financial data and create accurate financial projections.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Solid understanding of financial systems and software, with experience in using budgeting and forecasting tools.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy while working with large volumes of data.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to convey financial information and recommendations to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of banking or financial industry regulations and practices is preferred.
